Born and raised in Tauranga, Lauryn has whakapapa links to Ngāti Pukenga (ki Manaia).
Currently studying toward a Bachelor of Science majoring in psychology with a minor interest in food science/technology at Waipapa Taumata Rau (University of Auckland). She is passionate about all things Te Ao Māori, hauora and an has a keen interest in HR.
Working alongside our Toi Ki Tua Programme Lead for the summer, Lauryn is looking forward to developing her skills further supporting the development of the Toi Ki Tua programme. During her internship she will be starting up a mentoring program to match up our students with Māori mentors, analysing gaps while looking at certain organisations and identifying potential funding/organisations that do similar mahi to Toi Kai Rawa/Toi ki Tua.
